At the start of this week we welcomed our first new calves to the farm, as this post is being written, there are a lot more! As with human pregnancies, things don’t always go to plan, calves sometimes come out backwards and the mother needs a little assistance delivering her calf, for this reason we keep them inside until they have given birth. But once they have given birth and both cow and calf have fully recovered, they can be let outside into the fields!
